World Rabies Day

World Rabies Day is not just a reminder of a preventable disease — it’s a call to recognize the deep connection between human health, animal health, and community well-being.

A single unvaccinated dog can put a family or even an entire village at risk. But the opposite is also true: every vaccinated dog strengthens a shield of protection that stretches from animals to people, safeguarding entire communities.

The spirit of this day is cooperation and responsibility.

Through vaccination, education, and access to care, we uphold a simple truth: By protecting animals, we protect ourselves.

在世界狂犬病日這一天，台灣獸醫學生會誠摯邀請您一同行動。

狂犬病雖然致命，卻是可以完全預防的疾病；

然而，每年仍有數萬人因此喪生，

其中許多是資源有限地區的兒童。

2025 年世界狂犬病日的主題是

 「Act now: You, Me, Community」

提醒我們，無論是個人、專業群體還是社區，

都在這條守護之路上缺一不可。

這一天的意義，在於重申 One Health 的核心：

人類健康、動物健康與環境健康緊密相連。

作為未來的獸醫，我們相信行動的力量。

透過疫苗接種、教育與醫療可及性，

每個人都能成為保護環的一部分。

讓我們攜手努力，實現一個沒有狂犬病的世界，

讓人與動物共享更安全與健康的未來。
